Our product: pulp

Pulp is the most important raw material for paper manufacturing.  Pulp is manufactured from various types of wood -- from softwood or hardwood -- depending on the kinds of special properties required in the manufacturing process of the desired paper product. Botnia's pulp grades are developed in close cooperation with our customers, to meet the needs of our customers.

The Botnia mills are specialised in developing and manufacturing pulp grades with different characteristics. The unique raw material base, as well as the process equipment and processes utilised at each mill are our great assets in grade specialisation.

As a group of five mills, Botnia is able to offer the customer the pulp grade best suited to meet his needs. However, grade specialisation does not only mean that we find the customer the pulp grade best suited for him; successful specialisation requires active research and development work performed in close cooperation with the customer. The aim is to develop fibre characteristics that provide the customer with the required characteristics for his end product.
